JESUS IS ALIVE MINISTRIES

Was first formed in Nairobi by Bishop Dr. Margaret Wanjiru.

Hon. Bishop Dr. Margaret Wanjiru was born in Nairobi as the third child into a poor family of casual workers. Despite the manychallenges that come with poverty, her hard working mother was able to put her through both primary and high school while instilling the discipline necessary to excel in life. She worked hard in her pursuit of a better future and by the time she was 18 years old, she was paying her way through college by working numerous jobs.

Hon. Bishop Dr. Margaret Wanjiru was born in Nairobi as the third child into a poor family of casual workers. Despite the many challenges that come with poverty, her hard working mother was able to put her through both primary and high school while instilling the discipline necessary to excel in life. She worked hard in her pursuit of a better future and by the time she was 18 years old, she was paying her way through college by working numerous jobs.

This discipline and determination to succeed resulted in rapid promotions and various accomplishments as a sales and Marketing executive for a multinational firm in the city. She later went on to form her own business in the city excelling both as an entrepreneur and single mother to her two sons and one daughter.

Before salvation, Bishop Margaret was involved in very high hierarchies of Satanism through witchcraft.

When she surrendered her life to Jesus Christ she realized that even though she was saved, she suffered a lot of demonic attacks.

In despair she started to pray and fast asking God to help her and even at a young spiritual age the Lord spoke to her and told her she needed deliverance so as to be set free from the demonic attacks.

In pursuit for deliverance she realized that in those days many church ministers did not believe in deliverance. Most of them advised that once you are born again there will be no affliction from the devil. Here she was born again but yet tormented.

Finally she managed to find a ministry that ministered deliverance to her even though they did not have much knowledge. For a while she was at peace. She had learnt the basics of deliverance but the spiritual attacks would keep on coming back.

One day, she decided enough is enough, the devil must go in Jesus name. She started a long fast and during that fast the Lord referred her to Psalms 144:1 'Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight'.

With this word in her heart now she knew that God would teach her what she needed to learn to be able to overcome the demonic attacks and spiritual warfare that she was going through.


TODAY:
Thanks to her determination to serve the Lord and great leadership skills, she is the founder and presiding Bishop of Jesus Is Alive Ministries, (JIAM), in Nairobi, Kenya.

Today, with one of the fastest growing churches in the continent of Africa, JIAM is becoming a ministry to the world, with offices in many nations, touching many hearts, changing many lives through its various departments.

Hon. Bishop Dr. Margaret Wanjiru has been used mightily by God:-

As a Teacher: To teach boldly the truth of God’s Word, setting at liberty those who have been bound.

As an Evangelist: To bring thousands of souls into the Kingdom of God and also revival to many nations.

As an intercessor: To teach people of God how to pray in a manner that will change lives and nations ready for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit through annual conferences entitled ‘The school of Prayer.’

As a Television preacher: She has reached millions with the Word of God thus transforming nations through the programme ‘The Glory is Here.’

As an Author she has written many books and also oversees a monthly magazine entitled ‘Faith digest’.
